There is a possibility that you don't update your website anymore. I used both Firefox & Safari web browsers to view your webiste. I am using a Max OS X. I gave you one star because of poor usability and accessability (assuming your website looks like the screen capture and you are using a PC).

This is a screen shot of what I saw when I opened your page:

And here is a close up of the text, but I hi-lighted it so you can read that there is an error in your code:

I've been reading ANO's blog for a few years & love it. She's very personable & as though that weren't enough, she LOVES Dexter!!
Good writing skills, keeps the reader's attention & keeps the reader coming back for more!

I love the design, and the writing is just awesome. ANO always has something interesting to say.

Love the Vexel on the layout. The colours are plain. But simple is somtimes better, and on your site i like the simple layout.

Layout: Poloroid layouts are iffy for me. I don't really care much for them. Too much brown. Your dog is supercute though (if that is, in fact, your dog). Why is the third poloroid on the layout white and the other two are light brown? That looks really awkward.

Blog: Not bad, but not amazing. I mainly skimmed through it. Your scroll bar is really weird. It scrolls weird. I suggest using DIV layers if you aren't already and ditching the scrollbar. Because your layout is so large, that makes for a really awkward scroll.

The Mistress: The girl section is pretty good. I think the DVD and book pages could be merged into one. It's not bad, but there are a lot of pages, and I was really only interested after the first few.

Skipping the Q & A and the Gallery. Not much to review there :)

Visitor: I especially liked reading the ghost story read. That was really cool. I also like how you've seperated the ones you wrote and the ones that you didn't. No room to get confused there ;) I loved the Wallpapers.

WWW & Fanlistings also skipped. Not much to review.

Overall I think there are a few things you can do to make your site a little more organized and better designed, but it's not bad at all. :) Take care and have a good day!

I don't like this site at all, sure the color scheme is nice but your whole header image is like five pixels to the right so the bg dosen't fit with it. ah and use php include instead of iframes.

EDIT://
Yes I did, but the first impression is very important when I see a site owner that don't even care if the layout look good I don't care to look around =) I don't dislike your site in some rude way, I don't wanna be a bitch I just want to point out what's wrong.

So based on two things you give me a one? Did you even look at the rest of the site?

I love the image.. but i'm not really feeling the layout. Way.. too brown for such a tropical pretty look I think. And.. the navigation looks pretty weird. I think you should make it bigger just the right size according to the image. But the big plus is you have a nice content! ^_^

Posted: 01/27/2006

The layout-I'm not really into huge images, but I like the colorization you did on it. I dont like the font on the image. It's misaligned in firefox aswell.
the blog - interesting, it keeps you reading unlike most.. although it could use the text being jusitfied, so everything lines up.
the content-you have great content! I love to see a lot about the owner of the site, awesome on that. The google ads could definitely go :x
you have a good site :)

The layout, in my opinion, is a little tall. You have two vertical scroll bars, the normal one on the side of the browser, and one for your blog. For those who use a wheel to scroll quickly, this is a little annoying since it’s possible to scroll the wrong part of the window. Also, the top of the layout doesn’t quite line up (I’m using Firefox to view your site, so if you haven’t checked other browsers, you might want to). I do like the simplicity of your layout, it’s not cluttered, the colors are nice and do not blind, and the beach image is very soothing.

The content about yourself is very informative, I can get a pretty clear picture of what sort of person you are! Just a suggestion if you ever feel like adding more depth:
Under “Concerts” you could add a description as to why you like the band you saw, or a fun memory from that concert, just to add a little flavor to something is just a list at the moment. Same with “Autographs”.

I didn’t look at all of your visitor content because you have a lot, but what I saw looked pretty interesting. You haven’t totally stuffed your site with the same jokes we’ve seen a million times before which is definitely appreciated. I’d be interested in seeing more in the section of your writing and experiences because content that has some meaning to the creator usually ends up being the best.

As for the rest of what’s on your site, it’s pretty basic and nicely laid out. It’s a lovely site, and though there are areas where you could always expand when you wanted, it’s very nice as it is.

First Impression
...I find it odd that I told you the boxes were off in my message but you still haven't fixed it. Your image hasn't been top and left margined properlly, I'll find out why later.

I like that picture! And I love CSI! I think if you could blend the picture into the background a little more that would make things a lot better. I really like the text for the "all night org" you used. Its really nice!

Your side bar looks really nicely organised, and there isn't a whole lot of useless crap on it! Well done! The content part however.....I don't like one bit. iFrames are not meant to be used for the type of layout you created! As a matter of fact, theres a tutorial on this very site about how to make div layers! And its so easy! I suggest you try it. iFrames NEVER look good for these types of layouts, see for yourself:

http://www.torn-to-pieces.net/image s/iFrames.jpg

You'll also see that your image doesn't line up with your columns.

Also, your background repeats. I hate it when people do this, it doesn't look very good in my opinion. If you tried the repeat-y in your css and it didn't work, just make your background reaallllly large in the width, so that you have two columns and just a lot of black running to the side. If I were to make a background like yours, I'd make it 1500X10 and have only the two columns on the left part. This will ensure that you don't have columns all over your background

The overall first impression wasn't bad. Just the fact that you have some not-so-desirable coding makes your layout look messy and un organised.

Coding
Well, you've already heard my bit about your iFrames. Please try to convert to div layers, they look SO much better.

Anyways, I took a look at your site in internet explorer. I see you've optimized your site for that particular browser. Thats NOT a good idea, as the majority of people on the net use mozilla. Internet Explorer has the worst virus protection, and is generally a weak browser. Hence, people don't use it. You already saw that your columns didn't line up in the image I provided for you, and I think its because of this:

<body bgcolor="csibg.png" background="csibg.png" bgproperties="scroll" topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" rightmargin="0" bottommargin="0" text="black" link="#ff0000" vlink="#000000">

HOLY! I've never seen someone put so many tags into the body tag before! Anyways, first off you don't use quotes around the 0's in your margins. Also, you don't need the rightmargin=0 in your body tag. Its not doing anything.

Secondly, take the bgcolor="csibg.png" out, because its not doing anything, as csibg.png is not a color at all.

Thirdly, specifying link atributes and text color is something that should be controlled by CSS. I see you don't really use CSS at all, accept for the scrollbar which doesn't change color in anything accept internet explorer. Perhaps dive into CSS a little more, it will make coding things a little less painful. I know lots of sites that offer help with css, so google "CSS help" and I'm sure you will be able to get the hang of it.

So, I think thats it for that one tag. Lets move on.

I think I see why you use iFrames, because your using wordpress right? It is a pain to use wordpress and div layers, but I'm telling ya the iFrames don't look any better. Perhaps get someone to help you use wordpress or whatever your using with div layers.

Apart from that, you've already got your div layers set up, so dropping the iFrame should be easy as pie :P, and if you are having trouble there are tons of sites that offer help with all this stuff too.

Content
It all looks good to me. I don't really judge on content, I just make sure theres enough to keep the person there :P

Overall
Generally, your site isn't too bad. Like many people however, you do have a lot to learn. Your site has a great begining, but you just need to get some good coding down. Besides, once you learn about css and divs and all that stuff, you can skin and use php and everything will be better! Just take some time, learn some new tricks, and make your site fabulous. Its already got a great start, just keep going!

Thanks for the very good review. You actually took the time out to help and not just put down like some people tend to do. I actually don't use wordpress, I use greymatter for my blogging tool. I'm trying to get the coding worked out but with the lack of time lately, It's taken longer then I would've liked.

The graphic you've used is stunning! I love the colours you've used as well; they're relaxingly easy on the eyes! :) In terms of content, I like your writings; I can relate in terms of the ghost story and the illness that is Alzheimer's (my grandmother had it before she died).

In terms of constructive criticism, the first thing is that I'm using Mozilla Firefox, and just under your welcome note, your layout doesn't match up evenly - the top part is a few millimetres to the right of the bottom part. Also, it's hard to use the scrolling bar in the frames you've used; maybe a div layout would be better if you want it to look like that. :)

Posted: 11/15/2005

I love the layout picture, it's so beautiful. The only real issue I have with the layout is that it takes up the entire screen. Maybye scale it down to about 40% of what it is now.

As far as your coding goes, the iframe is a little bit annoying. You can achieve the same effect with CSS and DIV layers.

Other than that you seem to have a good amount of content, although the only that interested me was the Pet Survival Guide. I don't really have much to say. It's a well organized site and you seem to put alot of effort into it. My only real advice is to redo the coding and the size of the layout.

Posted: 11/12/2005

Layout: I *love* it!!!! I love Christina and I've never seen a layout of with her and her husband/fiance (I'm so behind on Hollywood gossip - are they married yet).

I'm reading that you're an NYSNC fan. I'm more of a BSB fan, but hey I'm not a hater. lol ;) We're actually not that far apart - you live in the state above me. You have a decent amount of autographs, I have only a few bands: Linkin Park, Disturbed, and Korn.

You seem to have a decent amount of content, enough that kept me busy. Great layout, great site.

Posted: 11/08/2005

What I can suggest is that you use high quality jpgs or gifs instead of pngs (since they load slow for dial uppers and eat up your own bandwidth) and get rid of the frames and use divs espesicially on the blog. It's hard scrolling through such a large space especially with the type of scrollbar (color) you're using in the blog. I think that your headers for welcome, cam, your blog dates should be more pronounced maybe by making their font larger or turning them into div (tablelike) headers. I'd like to see a picture of you in the bio section, and pictures of your pets in the pets section. I'm aware of your photo gallery. I like how you used flinx as a gallery. Quite clever.

Nice layout! the different shades of pink is very nice it matches nicely!
interesting site ^^..

» Julie @ HeartWreck. Viewing your site in 1024x768 & Mozilla Firefox.

» First Impression: It's not very good. The first thing I notice is your (invalid) coding and your unaligned (simple) layout.

» Layout: Eh, who is that? He looks familiar, but I can't tell who it is. Your layout, to put it simply, is bland. It's got a texture, but that looks like it's all it's got. The font you used was definitely not the best choice and the 'erasing' of the right side is obvious, the image doesn't blend into the background like (I assume) you were trying to do. A few suggestion for your layout would be to maybe manipulate the photo a little bit. I usually blend the images together, then do a little colorizing / hue changing here and there, then I add a bunch of assorted brushes and textures, seeing what I can come up with. For a font, I think maybe something simple would work. The font you used WOULD be allright, except for the border around the text that makes it look out of place. I'm kind of bad with fonts, so honestly I'm lost there.

» Coding / CSS: You're using iFrames, I can't tell you how annoying that is and I'm not going to try (PHP and DIV is a GREAT place to start when you decide to change). Your coding is off. Did you absolutely position the main header image? I'm guessing you didn't, because it's just showing up there, sitting relatively close to the corner, but not quite. If you didn't, the code you could / should use could be found at http://pixelfx.org. I use the same thing, but I have my code embedded into my CSS and explainging that to you would probably take up all the space I have for the review. If you'd like help, feel free to contact me somehow. Now, your font is too small. For me, at least. I have bad eyes and I don't think you should ever use anything smaller that 9-10pt with Arial. I would look to see what size it is not, but I have no clue where your CSS is because your coding is so...not even funny. The colors, however, I think are fine.

» Content:
» The Girl; You have alot of information here, but is any / all of it necessary? I don't care who's autograph you have, I don't care what your room looks like...so why put it there? The rest is nice and I skimmed through it. Before I get ahead of myself, you spelled 'peeves' wrong. There are two letter e's.
» Ask A Question; Okay.
» The Pictures; I don't usually look at pictures, but I know other do, so this is okay.
» The Visitor; Reads, Your Writings, and Reviews, if I weren't reviewing your site, I would never look at. Probably not the 'Baltimore' section either. They're nice things to have (I guess), but yeah. I would, however, look over your beauty tips and such.
» The WWW; Okay.
» The Fanlistings; Okay.

Thanks for the review. The layout looks aligned to me. I included the autographs and room section because this is a personal domain and one should try and include as much information about themselves as possible. Some people like it, some don't. :)

Loading Time: Fast. Very Fast. 5/5
First Impression: Nice initial impression, very organised. Could use some more exposure. Kudos for removing the splash page. 4/5
Layout: Simple, slight problems with browser compatibility. Otherwise it is neat, simple and very easy to use. Good colour choice, easy on the eyes. I love the 'updates' section. Neat idea. 4.5/5
Content: A great varied selection. I love the fact that theirs a large range in both visitor content and information on yourself. This is probably your sites biggest asset. 5/5
Graphics: I'm not fussed on the way the header image cuts off, but apart from that they are unique and a good size/quality. 4.5/5
Navigation: Nice, simple and easy to locate/use. 5/5
Browsers: Header images position is slightly off in Firefox. Otherwise fine. 4/5
Errors: None that I found. 5/5
Spelling: None that I found. 5/5
Suggestions: Apart from the aforesaid header, there isn't really much I would suggest.
Overall: A good all round site. Interesting blog, very appealing. 42/45.

I don't really see the point of the splash page... But I've never really understood them anyway. It just delays the action, in my opinion, and I'm not one to like delayed action...
Although I've never seen 'Lost,' I think your design comes together really well; I like it. My only dislike is how it always scrolls, even if the content and/or navigation don't fill the scrollable amount... I'm not a big fan of long scrollbars without a long reason...
You also have a great deal of content which is fun to peruse. (Teehee, I love perusing.)
Also, if you get the chance to come back to NYC sometime, send me an email--I can recommend some amazing places to eat/shop/whatnot. :)
I'm going to go ahead and give you a 4, because I liked hanging around on your site and clicking through everything, and the layout's excellent other than the one little point... Good job. :)
Viewing in FireFox for Mac and Safari.

I like the actual design but on a closer inspection I noticed an error. The top graphic isn't in the same position as the repeat background. You can also see some of the background at the top. You should change the top graphics absolute position. The colours were very friendly to the eyes and the navigation was very simple. You also had plenty of quality content which is a good thing.

Posted: 10/22/2005

Splash: Very simple. I like it, but it is useless and unnecessary. 3/5

Loading Time: Very fast, but then again, I have broadband, so everything is fats for me, lol 4/5

First Impression: Very unique layout, and very orgnized site. Damn, you update a lot, but maybe you could advertise more and get some more comments for your blog. 5/5

Layout: I like it! Not many people use baseball player in layouts, very original! The colors go together nicely. I don't like that you didn't make it, but at least you picked out the pictures. 7/10

Content: There's tons! The bio was very informative, and I like how you told about your LASIK surgery experience, a lot of info about yourself is important, your visitors will be more interested in the site and blog. I liked all the reads. I was about to pee my pants when I read the stupid laws one. Overall there was original content 18/20

Graphics: You are very talented and I like most of them! 4/5

Navigation: Aw, the most important, and yet the most mistakes in this area. And yet, you had NONE! Your navigation is very simple, easy to find, and organized. 10/10

Errors: None that I saw 5/5

Bonus: I liked the color scheme 3/5

Overall, Very nice site, I like it a lot! 56/65 + 3= 59/65 = 91% Good Job!

Splashes can be nice, but yours was pretty just.. there. Maybe make the body's background match the image's background. Also, it's hard to tell that the image is an enter link, since my mouse doesn't change when I hover it.

The layout didn't line up properly for me - I could tell because of the white lines. They were mismatched :P Also, the text in the sidebar overflows off of it's box area.

General things I'd do are: Get rid of the iframes, make the text bigger, the links easier to read, make it so the links don't change and make the text jump around on mouseover, fix the line-up problem (also, the image isn't at the very top, so I can see the bars above it.

You have lots of content, but also lots of blank space in the subcategory section. I'd try to fill it up so it doesn't look so empty.

Posted: 10/13/2005

I see the splash page as a waste. The layout is simple but looks nice. Nice to see some baseball fans out there. Hmm try to make your blog more interesting and a lot of your "reads" are really unneeded. What would also be nice is center align :D (layout)

Posted: 10/13/2005

First impression: Nice splash, nice layout. It's very simple but has style. No colors are too hard on the eyes.

I don't think Frames are good for a div layers layout. I don't like to scroll as often as I have to do at such layouts. No, really not.

Nice blog, seems to be updated regulary, that's good.

You have a lot about yourselve, that's great, I enjoyed looking at all the sites :D

Your visitor section is also nice, you have a lot stuff that are not found on every site. I like your wallpapers, they are really nice! But maybe you should them make also in 1024 x 800?

Domain section is normal, I don't think you have not enough. But maybe you should put up screenshots from past version?

I give you a 4.

Posted: 10/10/2005

Unline most people i like splash pages, even if they contain only enter signs and your eve has requerments, so it is all good.
Your layout looks neat, althout it has celebreties in it, or whoever they are. They just annoy me but hey, it's your layout. Besides that your layout looks very common, there is a pattern to it the kind you meet at many sites..
I found you have some original content, like about the city where you live, but also content that everyone else has,but not alot of it so it okay. :)

Posted: 10/08/2005

First Glance: Is the splash page really needed? I can understand splash pages if there's a reason, but otherwise, it's useless. Not to be mean, but some visitors just don't have the attention span to click once again. As pretty as you may think it is, it really isn't needed. More of a hassle than anything. And returning visitors won't bookmark the splash page, so once again..not needed.Your default background color is a bright green. You may want to fix that so that before the layout loads (on dial-up), your visitors don't have to see this bright lime green background. The cam picture is a bit small. You could make it a bit bigger before it'd really interfere with anything. I like how you warn us that there isn't too much visitor content, although some people may be scared away by that, but it's really a neutral statement. You could put the "Layout Info" under the "WWW" section. I like the calendar on the sidebar. I like the "Updated" stuff. Now playing...not so interesting to most people. Basically, your front page doesn't have too much to scare people off or displease them. I commend you.
Layout: The header is nice, and green colors are very nice. The font is a nice change from all of the scripts that seem to pop up all over. I like that you're trying to raise money for Alzhemiers, although I question how valid that link actually is. All in all, i Like the layout.

Content:
The Girl: "Bio" is okay. Nothing to comment on there. I didn't see any typos or anything. "LASIK" isn't something that most people will read, unless they themselves are curious or have had the disease. Awww.. A "pets" page. To spice it up, you may want to include a few pictures of your pets. People always love to go "awww" over pets. "Tattoos" are interesting. I read all about them. Not something I'd want to do, though. I like the pictures that are included. Heh. "Concerts". Pop fan all the way, huh? Wooo..You've got a nice autograph collection. I like how you included a link to the pictures. Well, I'm glad you still like NSync. It's a rare thing to see that nowadays, though many people may count that against you. OOOH. "Green Mile". WATCH IT! It's a Stephen King book series movie. Seriously..great movie. Just watch it. I read that series a couple years ago. I like..fell in love with it. It's ...sad, yet... just sad. I cried. *cries* "Travels" is interesting. I like where you've been. I've been to Chicago as well. We went to "Midevil Times" up there. You have a nice talent with your blends. I was going to say put it in the Visitor content, but I see you don't wnat people taking the blends for themselves. That's ALL The books own??! Seriously? I have over 300 ..in my room ALONE. :P I like the work pet peeves. I know a lot of people will be able to relate. I like the bedroom. Pictures again, which is awesome. Most people prefer visuals over paragraphs, so try to include pictures where possible. All in all, a good section most people would read. Good job. No boring, useless facts here! AND NO SURVEYS! I PRAISE YOU! :P

Ask a Question: I like how you've put it into your layout, and made it match, but you MAY want to make it less confusing by taking out a bit of space in between each line of text. Like... put the "Question", BREAK once, put the answer, BREAK once, put the catagory, BREAK once, and then put the time it was asked, the BREAK once. So our eyes aren't so easily lost in between questions.

The Pictures: Heh. Some-fangirlish pictures, huh? They're organized really nicely. Great job.

The Visitor: The reads are interesting. I bet most people read the Strange Sex Laws, first. I know I did. It's just an odd thing to see. Anything related to sex catches most people's attention. The Reviews are interesting. Country singer, right? Baltimore probably won't interest people unless they live in Baltimore, or have relatives/friends there. The Avatars are very nice. You may want to experiment with colors and brushes and stuff to get more itneresting effects, ya know? The wallpapers are beautiful. And very plentiful. Nice job. I bet a lot of people are using those. And the Animations are a BIG help to anyone who makes mini-movie icons, like myself. Keep that up too. The Beauty stuff is interesting. I'm not a big beauty freak.

The WWW: I like how you have the domain info sorted into "Past", "Present", and "Future". Very unique. The reviews are interesting. I have something against people who write short reviews, but I won't go into that right now. I like the awards and how you have them presented. YOu may want to list what domains gave you the awards for ALL of the awards, not just one. Fan signs are cute. I like the variety of "link me" buttons you provide. Very nice. They're also very pretty, although a very of them look..whorish. You may want to provide a few different sizes, though, like 50x50. WOAH! WAAAAY too many affiliates. When you start getting so many affiliates, it just isn't SPECIAL to be your affiliate anymore. YOu may want to close applications for that. It's supposed to be an honour to affiliate. Do a link exchange program if you like just collecting others' links.

The Fanlistings: Man..Too many in my opinion. I just recently opened my own fanlisting. Go me! :P

Final Words: VERY nice site. Honestly. The colors are good. A few improvements here and there, but nothing that made me go "ewww". My only suggestion is to get rid of the Splash page and add more visitor's content.

Thanks for the nice review! The link for Alzhiemers is very valid. It directs to the donation website which is ran by the AA. LASIK also isn't a diease, it's a procedure lol just so ya know!

/* First Impressions: */
There is a splash, why? It looks fairly useless and I don't see an explanation as to why you have one.

Also I cannot see the background colour, I checked the code and... yeah we'll get to that in a moment.

The layout is all right. You seem to really like green because it's used quite a bit in this layout. The images seem a bit blurry as well.
_________________________

/* The Content:*/
The bio was mildly interesting but I thought that a few of the other pages could have been combined into one whole page which would have been made into a more pleasant/easier viewing experience. I also thought that perhaps it could have been fleshed out a bit more and tacked into sections on one page.

The rest of the site was disappointing. I did not care for any of the reads on the site. Other than some walls and avatars that was it for the visitor. If you're going to offer visitor content then you have to think that it isn't for you. So tool around, ask others what they want. What I like are textures, geometric patterns, brushes, etc. However you also have to ask yourself if you are willing to put the time into making them and making them well. A chrome filter light burst is not a good texture (just an example).
_________________________

/* The Layout : */
Is green, not my favourite colour but I'll live. However you could play up the colours some. It's very... green. Use colour theory or try colorlovers.com and pick a colour scheme with more than one colour in it.

The images are blurry as I mentioned before, I'm not fond of the way you layed them out nor am I fond of the text. Also the first and last one look smooshed but maybe they came like that?

Oh yeah on your pages the header is not lined up properly with the columns.
_________________________

/* The Design: */
Is simply all right, I think you could combine some sections, lose other sections and definitely lose the splash.
_________________________

/* The Coding:*/
Is awful, you use your body tag to define the link colours. Also why is it all spaced out so much? Is it a way to stop theives? Because if it is then it's not a good way, code is open source and anyone can come along and take it. The coding on your splash was the worst I checked. But surprisingly it validated with the exception of one error. You had an extra body tag above everything.

Your indexx was not so lucky, it contained ten errors.

/* My Two Cents:*/
- Cross browser compatibility issues should be resolved.
- Sections everywhere need to be cleaned out and some subpages could be deleted with little to no effect.
- Coding needs to be fixed.
- Font size needs to be bumped up.
- Colour scheme needs an overhaul and more than just green.

Also you may want to look into some form of includes. Inline frames are usually not a good idea and very unattractive.

All you really need is a bit of tweaking and some understanding of what you should do. Just work at it and you should have a good site.

Thanks for the review. I actually have no idea how to make brushes and what not and those you can find anywhere. I don't feel I would offer good textures and what not. If I can't do it to my best ability, I'm not going to do it. I'm in the process of working on the visitor content.

First of all, I thought the splash page was unnecessary. I have a 1024x768 resolution and your site looks absolutely fine!

I like your layout. Not just because when I saw it I was like "OOOoooo Housee!!!!11" (lol), but also how you structured your sidebar! Although, I thought navigation should've been under the welcome note. Other than that, really organized and easy to navigate. Love how you have updates there.

I was reading some of your entries on the main page, and hey, I like your writing style! Which I guess means the way you wrote just kept me interested.

I thought your was really informative too - you've written about your physique, family, education/career, interests... Yep, it rocks!

The only real "problem" I could have with your site is that there should be more visitor content. I'm not a fan of reads. - theyre usually stuff thats pasted from forwards and other sites. I'd rather see original creations by the owner, such as photography and graphics. Oh and your wallpapers are GORGEOUS.

I'm giving you a 3, only because there couldve been more content. You really have the skill and potential to improve that part of your site.

One more thing - that question you were asked - "If a rooster sits on the top of a A frame cottage and lays an egg, what color would the interior be painted?" - I think the answer that person was, well, testing you for was somewhere along the lines of "roosters dont lay eggs". :)

Thank you for the nice review! I'm in the process of trying to revamp the visitor content. I'm thinking about including reviews of different things like albums, movies and what not. We'll see where that goes and thanks for the nice comments about my wallpapers!

Ah doctor House md it's a good choice (yes yes I love it!) and I think that your content are really usefull :D
I like the section called "...Of The Moment " and Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani is a cool song...B..Banana ;D

Splash:
I do not like your splash page. (sorry for being so blunt!) I don't liek the shadow that you added on your text... And whatever happend to plain old enter???? Also, for people who can click on images for a link, add a text enter link too.

Layout:
I like your layout. The colors are so peaceful. Your images are cute too. I see you use an iframe... (I do too!) Nothing else much to comment on your layout.

Content:
This is where having an iframe layout is annoying. You have so much extra background at the bottom. That is a little annoying.

Your an NSYNC fan... yay! I love that group :) Unfortunately my cd is scratched *tear*... It was such a classic!

Cute bedroom. I enjoyed looking through your peeves.

Just browsing through the rest of your content... you have a lot of content which I like.(I especially like your guess the lyric.)

Conclusion:
You have a great site, a lot of content, but a crappy splash. 4!

Man! I so completely suck. I made a long-ass review and my internet died, thus, i lots the review.

Anyway, to sum it up quickly (as i am hardpressed for time now :O Eesh!) Your site is not incredibly firefox compatible. I reccomend testing it in firefox, and validating your code and css.

I also reccomend not using an iframe. they're very very annoying to a lot of visitors, and look hideous when viewed in firefox. an easy alternative is a div table.

The splash page seems kind of irrelevant...

the font is rather difficult to read. perhaps darken the hue of the text colour?

I did like the simplicity of the layout :) with some validation and firefox-compatibility, it would look lovely.

I did change the text color and made it a darker shade!

heya just returing the favour as you requested - i love your website, its very simple but looks fantastic, its very blues which could be a downer simple becuase im not a fan of blue but thats besides the point all in all a very nice layout... as for content you have a very wide selection of stuff which is great and quite alot of it too which keeps the visitor entertained...all in all i love your website weldone and keep it up hehe xxx

The splash page-- My cursor didnt change, and I wasnt sure if the image was a link :S lol... But i did click it eventually

Your layout is nice and clean looking, which is good. I like the monotone layout.

There doesnt seem to be enough padding between your text and your margins.

I generally dont read blogs, But you seem to keep updated, so that is great! I know that is why I dont have one haha.

Sections :)
- You have a good amount of information on yourself.
-Your ask section is put together nicely, especially with the questions posted.
-Pictures are nice. Seems to be mostly Nsync and friends, which is nice for a personal site
-Visitor content is great! You have things that you are sharing, and also a good amount of interactive sections.
-Great site section

Nice site :) Keep it up!

Your site has some very typical problems: .png images and too many scrollbars. Things like these immediately catch my eye and make a bad first impression. The scrollbar of your blog column is hidious and on the top of that, too long. It just scrolls and scrolls even though the content has ended. Get rid of the frames, please.

I don't really like the main image since it's just a random blending with no creative idea. It would be slightly better if faded gradually from the right. Otherwise it's alright, I've just seen layouts similar to it so many times that they can't impress me.

You have a lot of content, a big part of it being just useless lists. No one is interested in those, so maybe you could add some background information. For example, the concert list could also contain a few reports, a story of how it all felt like. I think you should improve your writing, it's very monotonous, "and then I did this and that and it was fun" like.

I hate visitor content. It's a waste of both time and space.I've always thought that well-written biographies, stories, photography and original art are for the visitor to enjoy. I got the feeling that most of your reads was copy pasted from chain mails and joke sites.

Justify the text, fix the coding and make the line height of the text bigger and I'll have no big complains.

Posted: 09/09/2005

(I'm using IE 1024x768)

Why do you have a splash page ? You don't need it, it's useless space, you could easily put the cliques page under another section. I advise to completely scrap the splash because there is no point to it.

The graphic you made is rather nice, and the textures you used make it pretty aswell. I really don't like how the right side of the graphic looks like it's been erased off, it doesn't have any texture, no borders and it looks like you've just used the spray can or the eraser tool just to get rid of it. Also where it says All-Night.org, I think you should just get rid of the aqua box thing because it's hardto read and see the name of your site against the aqua box runing across the graphic. Make it a bit darker :)

NO ! You used an iframe :( Why don't you just use divs for your blog ? You don't need to use both ! Iframes are both annoying and wrong, get rid of this immediately !

Oh I've just checked aswell, your website (well rather the iframe and the transparent you've set it to) looks absolutely dreaful in Opera. All I can see are big white boxes that aren't aligned properly.

In Firefox it looks a bit better, but you do realise the scrollbar colour converter doesn't work in all browsers ? It is not a valid code, I suggest wiping it out, and getting rid of the iframe because when I view your site in Firefox all I can see is an ugly default scrollbar right beside your blog :(

Now, I'm looking through your text, I think it would look much neater and better if you justify it all :)

I like the colour scheme you chose by the way, it's very calming :)

Your 'Me' section is alright. I recommend just deleting 'ebay wins', 'my ringtones' and 'my dvds'. They're boring and pointless and nobody is really interested in that stuff.

I really loved your autographs section, and congrats on meeting all of them ! I really think this section has a lot of potential, maybe if you write a story about each encounter it would make it more interesting.

I really think you should make your naviagtion a bit smaller in width, it looks gigantic and your actual navigation (the girl, visitor etc) seems so tiny in width compared to the actual coloured box.

I'm pleased with the amount of visitor content you have ! I like have you've really thought and considered visitors coming to your site, there's nothing I can really suggest here :D

Overall I believe your site has loads and loads of potential. Take everybodys comments and suggestions seriously if you wish to build your site into a successful and popular one ! Good luck ! :D

First impression:
Bit useless splash page, cause it looks fine in Firefox too. The only thing what I'm wondering is: why don't you use divs for you layout? Would look much nicer :)
And when I look again I see the Navigation is a bit bigger then the border, I have screen-resolution 1024 x 768. But you could fix that I think...

The me-section:
I didn't really look at everything but I really think it's very interesting! I think I was like half an hour on that section (but that can be exaggerated :P)

Photos:
Some I don't really know where you took it.. Maybe a description where you were? And: What a cute doggie you've got! :D

You:
You really got a lot of good content! :D I love reading all of it.

The Site:
When I want to visit your fanlisting collective I get a broken link..
[Useless information: You bought your domain the day after I was having my 14th birthday :P]

Overall:
I really like your site and it keeps people coming :) I give you a 4/5 since you can still make your site better, but everyone can..

The positive:
Nice color scheme, tons of orginal content, a very organized layout, what else can a person ask for? I want to get Lasik eye surgery when I'm older, it's cool that you put your experience up on your website :) I really liked the 'strange sex laws'... they're hilarious XD

The negative:
Ahh! Splash page! Soooo unnecessary. Also, why do you have divs AND iframes? o__O; You could just as easily pick one or the other. Then again, I guess it's because you want your pages to open up in the same frame...?? You might want to consider learning some basic php includes. It will make the process a lot easier.

Posted: 08/01/2005

I usually don't like Splash pages, but this one is pretty. It really isn't needed though, so get rid of it.

Woah, I really like your layout. I love tropicalness, and the colors are very pretty. I'm glad you changed the color and added textures and stuff, it makes it look more original. I also love your CSS.

You could space out your blog a little more.

Your 'me' section was good, but there could be more about your personality in your bio. I feel like I don't really know who you are after looking through it.

I like that your pictures are easily accesible and they don't open up in a new window.

Your visitor section is also good, but The 'Guess The..' stuff isn't original enough. I love your beauty tips, especially the hair ones.

Overall, I like your site, except for the 'Guess The..' stuff. It is overused.

I give your site a 4/5.

Posted: 07/27/2005

Pretty much original and cool in way. When I visit your site I got this calm feeling..don't know.lol.

Posted: 07/24/2005

Layout: The main image looks a little bit messy, like one too many brushes and textures were used. The image itself you're using is beautiful, you don't need to add to it to make it look so.

Coding: The way you have the blog section set up is a rather odd, it looks like a mixture of an extended div plus an iframe? I think you need to choose one or the other.

Content:
**Bio: Pretty basic stuff, (I live in Maryland too =D, it sucks doesn't it? lol)
**Lasik: This section was incredibly intresting, I was considering the procedure myself, and the way you descibed it was very detailed.
**Body Art: Another interesting section, I like how you included a small description and your reasoning to getting what you did for each image.
**Concerts: This area seems pointless, I doubt many of your visitors care about what concerts you've seen and when.
**Nsync: I skimmed this section, mainly because I'm a hardcore BSB fan (actually, just a Brian fan) haha
**DVD's through Ebay wins: This all seems pointless and unneeded, describing what you've won from ebay tells nothing about who you are as a person. Whicih is usually what the bio section of the webmistress is about.
**Travels: I would think this would be a much more interesting section if you were to include what you thought about each place you went to and were more indepth about your experience there.
Pictures:
You have a lot of pictures of concerts, you must get a lot of good seats then.
Visitor:
You have a lot of content, again, like song lyrics are unneeded. My suggestion is to have things on your site that are original and someone couldn't easily find someplace else.

Overall:
It has a lot potential, but it needs a bit of work. Once you fix a few minor things, it should be great

Caitlin @ silentmelody.net // Firefox // 1024x768

Your layout is really nice. The colors go well together and the image is really cool. I don't really like how the right side of your site is in a scrollbar, but that's probably because I'm viewing your site in Firefox. It seems like your site is optimized for IE anyway and in your screenshot it looks like you coded a nice scrollbar. Your navigation is good but in my opinion it should be towards the top of your sidebar so your site is easier to navigate. Your blogs are interesting to read and your content is pretty decent. Overall, I like your site a lot. I'd visit again.

4/5

First Impression
Your splash page doesn't really have a use.

Layout
It's okay, but it's not exactly my type. I'm not a fan of those black stripes. You should lower the opacity of them a bit more. The frame you used for your blog scrolls, which is annoying. Your navigation/links should be up on the top instead of down there. The basic setup of your layout is very nice and I like it.

The Girl
Your biography was pretty interesting, it's informative and detailed but short. I enjoyed reading about your pets, you should include pictures. I noticed on all these subpages you don't have titles. Yuo should have titles on each page. I really like the body art page, it's unique and cute. I like how you included pictures [b]and[/b] wrote about when, where, et cetera you got it. It's very interesting. I love the Devil Horns and Halo tatoo.

The Pictures
-

The Visitor
I don't have time to look through everything, so I picked three things. I enjoyed reading 'Crazy Sex Laws' that's interesting and kinda funny. Your wallpapers are nice enough but most of them are in a .PNG format, and .PNGs take a long time to load and just aren't very suitable. The hair tips was useful, too.

The WWW
Hmm on the Reviews page, you might want to link this website because youget reviews, too :D!.

The Fanlistings
-

Overall
Your site is nice but you have some mistakes here and here. I'd give you a 3 but since Ireally like your body art page, I'll give you a 4.

July-7-2005 by Laura @ Lo-uh.com

LAYOUT:
The layout loaded really fast, which is always good, I hate waiting for them to load. The layout picture is pretty, but I'm not a big fan of the color green. I think the Navigation should be above the Layout Info, Cam, and Updates. Navigation is probably the most important thing, so it should be first. Everything seems to be pretty organized.

THE GIRL:
I liked how you have a section of "My Travels", and "My Book Case". The "Body Art" section had pictures which is always good. I think you should add pictures to each section, such as pictures of yourself, and your pets. You have pictures of your autographs, yourself, and concerts in the photo section, maybe you should add those pictures to your other pages.

THE PICTURES:
The dog, Wolf, is very cute. You have a lot of pictures of celebrities that you have taken. I've never met any celebrities. Expect one time at I saw the guy who created The Simpsons and took a picture of my boyfriend and him together.

THE VISITOR:
You have a lot to offer to the visitors. You have a nicely made wallpapers, and animations. I was entertained by all the stuff you have.

THE WWW:
All the information you need for your domain. You have a lot of buttons for linking you, I only have 1.

THE FANLISTINGS:
You have this section very organized. Normally they are all just listed, but you actually put them into categories. 149 joined fanlistings is a lot.

OVERALL:
Your site kept me entertained, and nothing really bothered me about it. I give you 3 stars.

Viewed In: Internet Explorer with a 1024 x 768 Resolution.

I really like your image on the top, it just fits really nicely with the site name, theme, etc. Good use of color, too. However, the images took practically forever to load. Maybe use jpg instead of png?

Nice overall content, too. Your site is quite enjoyable and good for visitors - I'd totally want to return.

Posted: 07/04/2005

the layout is good. and i like the blue colors that u ussed. but the pattern is a bit too much. maybe changed the opacity of the look. and im not a fan of PNG images, cuz they take a pretty long time to load for me. the layout is pretty good but a bit plain. yur visitors content is pretty good i enjoyed reading some of the stuff. overall pretyy good site.

Posted: 07/03/2005

First impression: Very nice. I like the splash page and I think the blue looks good. I'm not really a fan of blogs or journals..whatever ya wanna call them. I just don't have the patience to read them.
Anyway...I have been to your site before. I don't remember how I got there, but I did.
I think you did a nice job on it. There's plenty of content for the visitor and a lot of interesting things to read.
I like the graphics section too.
I'll give you a 4
:)

Posted: 06/11/2005

I'm not a fan of splash pages, I think they're pretty useless since any info on it could easily be put on the main page of the site. So I'd say get rid of it.

Your header image is alright. It's nice, but I don't really like the texture thing you have over the image. It kinda gives a feel that the image is a bad quality. But aside from that, I like the layout. Plus, I used to be an Nsync fan back in the day (lol) so it's cool to see a JC layout.

I like the fact that the section about yourself has a lot of info. I like the tattoo you have of the heart with the wings. That's pretty neat. Great job with that section. Your pictures section is nice and neat. I never thought to use flinx for organizing pictures, that was a good idea. Your visitor content is decent, there's nothing extremely unique about it, but it works. It definitely gives your visitors something to do. As for you domain info, I feel like most of it could be on just one page. It's kind of annoying to have to click all the links, when there's not a ton of info and it can perhaps be condensed onto one page.

Overall, your site is nice. There's definitely room for improvement, but good job.

Thanks for the suggestion of placing all the WWW stuff on one page. I might do that! For the layout I guess I wanted a lighter look hence the textures I used. I didn't want it to be all in your face. Thanks for the nice review!

I personally am not crazy about splash pages, but sure why not have one ;)
I think that the blend looks too choppy, you should have smoothed it into the background better. Also the navigation looks a little messy, maybe try seperating the sections up a bit more. Overall not bad. :D

Posted: 06/08/2005

Reply from allnightorg

I'm not sure how the navigation is messy seeing how they are just text links?

I have always liked your site, B, but I'll try to be impartial with my review.

I don't see much point to the splash page. In Firefox, the BG is white, which makes the splash image look lonely. The splash image is a bit small and plain too. Since your site looks fine in a 1024x768 resolution and is viewable in other browsers, I'd say you don't really need requirements posted.

In terms of the layout, the header image is a bit large which creates a lot of scrolling to get to the content. It's a nice, clear image though. I like the color scheme. I don't understand why there's a black line on the right side of the screen in the middle of space. I think that one solid color might look neater. I also don't understand the staggered columns. Perhaps level ones would look neater as well. The black lines of the columns and the black stroke around the title seem a bit harsh with the color scheme... something softer might be nice. I like the text at the top right of the graphic. It's cheeky. I would also suggest that you change the coding of your pages to get rid of the scrollbar inside the iframe by using divs or something.

I really like your content. Even though lots of reviewers don't like the interactive stuff, I still am entertained by it. You have a nice amount of personal content. I really like your short essay on being an NSYNC fan. I love NSYNC too, ya know :) I think you have a good amount and variety of content.

I'd say a little more work on the color scheme of your layouts (using less harsh, dark colors for text and borders when appropriate) and your layouts would improve a lot. Overall, though, you have a nicely put together site that reflects you.

Posted: 06/02/2005

I'm not in the mood for repeating one of my why-you-should-explode-your-site testimonials, so I'm going to make this snappy, see?

Splash:
WTF? Your site works in 1024x768 so the 8x6 requirement is useless. The page is empty & cold; at least use that pink bg. DON'T USE .PNGS. That woman is creepy. Delete this page, it don't make a lick of sense.

Layout:
The layout is awful for a few reasons. Not much effort here; you recoloured an image & added a half assed filter. The header is far too large, and the text looks shifty. The orange colour is completely incongruous against that baby pink, and the two columns are shoddy. There's a scroll bar on the right, and the left is all squishy & over-cluttered. SIMPLIFY.

Content:
I almost immediately found a coding error. Your link to 'The Suburbs' uses the 'target="_blank' tag incorrectly, so the link is dead. The navigation is barely noticeable. Congrats on the bio. It's boring. Some of this content is okay, though not entertaining it IS personal & all's well enough but... 'My Ringtones'? wtf. Completely get rid of that. NOW! Same goes for 'My DVDs' & 'Concerts'. These sorts of stats are horrible.
GET RID OF YOUR WHOLE VISITORS SECTION. I know you're trying, but well... even the most novice of personal site browsers must have seen this several hundred times. Why would I want to fill out eight little forms, just so you can post trivial information like my favourite album? Same for 'Guessing' anything and... no reads.
Putting 'The' before everything wasn't cool two years ago, and it ain't cool now.

In conclusion:
Because one was a stretch, you get a well justified two.

EDIT/
Good Job, Charlie. And here people are giving you points because you like a song. You're lucky some people are nice, and safe half of your face by not giving you a one. Next time don't ask for a review, you pig headed buttock muncher.

- Useless splash page.
- Long iframe (learn to use DIVs)
- I see WHITE WEDDING on your playlist, which is why you got a 3 instead of a 2.
- The orange doesnt go with the pink
- YOu have a good amount of stuff about yourself which is cool.
- Just wasnt impressed.

Very cute site. I like the layout.

wow! very beatuiful layout! I love it! keep up the great work!

Posted: 05/21/2005

I'm viewing in Netscape, my IE doesn't work.

First impression: I hate the splash page. It really doesn't do anything, other than tell the viewer to use IE, while it works pretty well in netscape.
Layout: What I don't understand is the green background, then it flashing to the background for the text boxes at the bottom. But overall, the layout is simple but nice. It takes forever to load on dialup, though.
Overall, I like the content (you have a lot!) and the layout. It's a nice site, although I do wish you'd make your layouts more slow connection friendly :)

Posted: 05/19/2005

I like the layout, its totally cool! When your site loads it seems to....what's the word....flash through old layouts lol, i see this horrid green and then a wonderful layout....weird.

Content wise, enough for a personal site.

I'd just like to say the header image is really lovely btw! well done!

Posted: 05/16/2005

Viewing on 800x600, with IE.

I really think the splash page is pointless. The cliques can be kept somewhere else. Once you enter, although the layout is kinda pretty, its a bit too plain for my liking. The content..is.....also boring. Not to be rude, but people dont really care about your ringtones....or your eBay wins. It looks like you have the visitor content for the sake of having content, some of the reads are good but you see them everywhere else....

Overall, you do have a good amount of content, but its quality not quantity. Experiment with blending on layouts etc. =D

Posted: 05/15/2005

I don't see the point in the splash page, it's just a small image... I also don't like the scrollbar- I think it'd look better transparent rather than that pink color.

Anyway, I like the amount of work you've put in, the site looks good apart from what I've mentioned above. I also like the amount of content, keep it up!

Posted: 05/12/2005

Your splash page is kind of un-necessary. Maybe you could add what cliques you've joined on it, or if your in any award sites. It just looks really plain.

The layout is super cute! I am a huge Dierks Bentley fan so thats an auto super super super plus in the layout department. The layout looks great in IE.

You have very good content about yourself. Also you have a nice amout of vistor content.

Overall I have to say that you have a very nice site!

Posted: 05/12/2005

Ugggh.
so. Basically, I disdain having to use IE more than i disdain having to get up early everyday.
and I'm not a morning person.
So, there goes one point.

First impression: this is slashmysoul.org... you just copied the source code or something.
Oh, nevermind. you bought the layout from Ashley's design site.
it doesnt look like she put too much effort into this layout.
I've seen better from her.

So, wait... you didn't code this site either?
What the fuck is the point of a PERSONAL domain if YOU didn't do anything?
oh, you typed up what celebrity is "hot" right now and had your buddy code it for you?
BIG DEAL.
-10000 points. right there.

The content is kind of... well. bad.
iframes are NOT div layers.
in fact... colored scrollbars aren't good css, either.
So... basically... your site is badly-coded, poorly-laid out tripe.
But what's worse is... it wasn't done by you.

Sorry.
i pretty much really dislike your site.

Posted: 05/12/2005

Reply from allnightorg

The reason it was coded by a friend was because I had no FTP access for 2 months and got tired of looking at the same layout. Basicly all he did was changed the info that was needed like scroll colors, font/link colors and what not. Everything else was coded BY me.

I love the layout!

but the text looks a little wierd in Mozilla..

Posted: 05/12/2005

LAYOUT

I don't like splash pages, and I don't like sites that say I can't view it in FF (which also means I can't in Netscape, which I prefer over FF), even though I use IE. It immediately makes me want to view it in a Mozilla browser, and that's exactly what I did. First of all, you have some unnecessary code: two BODY tags. I would also recommend taking out bgcolor="scoobybg.png" because that give you a shot of green, which is strange. I'd also take out the style tags and just put them in the body tag (eg, body style="scroll..."), just to make the code neater. BUT, the main thing you need to do is take out the align="right" in the IFRAME tags; this will make your site viewable in Mozilla. I don't really understand why you had that code in the first place, as in IE everything is left align. You may also want to create a z-index for the main frame so the titles of subpages (eg pictures) doesn't get chopped off.

...but I just noticed you didn't even code/make the layout sooooo that doesn't really matter.

CONTENT
I think I just hold content up to too high of a standard. It's okay, I didn't learn anything, but I usually don't which is why I don't bother with content sections when I visit sites anyway. Graphics were simple, which I liked, but nothing struck my fancy.

Overall a pretty average site. Nothing would keep me coming back, as I didn't find your blog interesting. However, in response to someone else's review, you said you had PAID for a layout...is this the one!? Because if you're paying for something that isn't even coded properly, something's wrong with this picture...

the splash page is really pointless but it's uncluttered so that's good. the layout is pretty. your site looks really organized! you've got plenty of content. overall it's pretty nice

I'm going to load the site in IE as you have firefox slashed through and it would be unfair i'm going to give you low points because of using mozilla. The splashpage is a bit useless, you can put that on the actual site in one of the sidebars as well. I like the layout, though you didn't.

the avatars look a bit simple, try putting some textures on it to make them look better. I suggest maybe adding tutorials, the site doesn't really stand out to me, it's another personal site, but it's agood one =) I hope you try to redo the coding so it also can be viewable in firefox.

Wow, I really thought I had seen the worst in webdesign, but you proved me wrong! I gave you a 1, had there been a lower score, I'd have given you that, instead. I wish to start with how terrible your blog is, but I'm going to be decent and start from the top. You have the ugliest, most useless splash page I've ever seen. The simple fact that you have Firefox slashed shows that you honestly don't care about having a decent looking site. "I code so badly, that I only make my site viewable in IE! Boo to all those webdesigners that actually know what they're doing!" Oh, and the splash image is ugly. Now, after waiting several hours for your image to load, I see that it's not even worth a comment, it's really that bad. On to content. Your blog is terrible. Terrible. I could barely stand reading the first few entries, I couldn't imagine reading anymore without stabbing my eyeballs out.

Now, just to humor you, I decided to load your site in IE, contrary to my strong desire NOT to. With IE, I see many problems, aswell, which is funny considering IE is the easiest browser to code for. You have a scrollbar for your blog? That looks terrible. Now, that I can actually see your content, I can tell you how useless it is. Your content is overrused, the same crap I see on every other "personal" site out there.

So, in closing.. Learn to code, learn to create graphics, & get some content that doesn't totally suck. :)

--What a waste of money. ;)

Where to begin, if you read anything you would see I didn't even make this layout. It was purchased.

I love your layout. I liked your content. Your visitor content i especially liked. Your site is organized. The text was easy to read. Nice CSS. I like your domain name, too. I don't like the tagboard in your sidebar, though.

Haha besides the fact that it doesn't work in Firefox (the browser I primarily use) I think the layout's graphically awesome. When I viewed it in IE, err, I got a popup on your site? You might want to check that out if that's not intentional. Nice visitor content, you've got quite a bit of it. Overall I think it's rather nice. ^^
